What this site does (and doesn't do)
LandlordComplianceNI is a free information and directory site for private landlords in Northern Ireland. It does not ask you to create an account, does not have user logins, and does not collect personal information from visitors through forms.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising networks, or any third-party tracking tools. We do not build profiles of visitors or track you across the web.
Information collected automatically
Like all websites, this site is hosted on a server — specifically Vercel's hosting platform. Vercel may retain standard server logs that include technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time of your visit, and your browser type. This is normal for any website and is handled by Vercel in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not actively access or analyse these logs for purposes other than diagnosing technical faults if they arise.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.
Your browser may store technically-essential cookies set by the hosting infrastructure (for example, to route requests or maintain connection quality). These are not used to identify you or track your behaviour, and you cannot opt out without affecting basic site function.
There are currently no cookie consent banners on this site, because there are no cookies that require your consent under PECR.
Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics tools. If we introduce privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics in the future (for example, aggregate page-count data with no personal identifiers), this policy will be updated before that happens.
Links to third-party sites
This site links to GOV.UK, council websites, provider websites, and other external services. Once you leave this site, you are subject to those sites' own privacy policies. We have no control over and take no responsibility for their privacy practices.
The tradesperson directory
The directory lists contact details for tradespeople (electricians, gas engineers, and EPC assessors) operating in Northern Ireland. This information is compiled from publicly available sources, including Google Maps business listings.
Directory listings are business contact information — company names, phone numbers, and locations provided to the public in a business context. Some entries may relate to sole traders, where personal and business identity overlap.
Your rights under UK GDPR
If any personal data is held relating to you, UK GDPR gives you the right to:
- Access —request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Correction —ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure —ask us to delete your data (where we have no legal basis to retain it)
- Objection —object to processing based on legitimate interests

If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
